Hello all,
We moved into an apartment in October and are the first tenants living in a relatively new building. This scenario has introduced interesting debates about what the landlord should provide with the apartment to allow the tenant to use various features. Unfortunately, the company who built the apartment and the company who owns and runs it now are not the same. :/
The current debate is whether a fuse box should come with adequate labeling to know which circuits each switch is associated with. Our fuse box came with about 15 different switches and not a single indication of what they linked to. The first attempt from the Elektro company the landlord provided was weak, only labeling about 8 of the fuses without much detail. We did our own tests and narrowed down most of the associations ourselves. However, a month later the Elektro company sent us a bill for their weak attempt and the landlord is saying "In Switzerland it is common that is strictly required the intrusions / instructions shall be borne by the tenant. "
Anyone have any experience with this? Or know what of an official Swiss landlord/tenant clause on this?
