Swiss Air ticket fare advise

Hello friends!!

i have been searching for cheap flight tickets (Swiss Air) from Manchester to Zurich for the month of April. The direct flight ticket costs approx £225 i.e. 330CHF .

Coincidentally i was also looking for tickets from Manchester to Basel, and the ticket costs like £188 i.e. 276CHF. Its strange that the flight to Basel actually stops at Zurich first and from there i have to board a train to Basel and the ticket cost actually includes both train and flight fares. TFW?? How can the ticket to Basel be cheaper than Zurich?? i don't understand!!

Anyway, It gets even stranger, the flight timings for both routes are exactly the same..!!

So my question is if i book the flight ticket to Basel instead of Zurich (given that the flight stops at Zurich first), will i be allowed to get out of Zurich airport having a Basel ticket?

Similarly for the return journey, can i board the flight from Zurich directly?

I have never been to Zurich before so i don't really know how the airport and train station are connected and how the security checks happen.

And yes i am doing all of this to save £37 :D
