Hi!
I've been "collecting" several pieces of leftover food (usually just fruit rests like orange or banana peels, etc). The thing is, I'm using these 5ltr bags, and since I don't have so many rests of food, they stack for a long time (already 2 weeks now) before I throw them out.
The problem is that things start to smell, because they've already started to decompose. I'm also scared that the biodegradable bags start to decay to a point where I can't even pick them up anymore.
I was thinking maybe on putting newspaper around the bag (so bag first, then newspaper inside, then the food) so that it holds a little longer. But I don't know if that's allowed (I think newspaper is biodegradable, but it's also paper, so maybe it's recycled as paper...)
Any thoughts? Or any other tips? (don't say "throw your bags earlier even if they're just 20% full" :) )
