I will be moving to my first apartment in April 1st. Since I have arrived here, I have been living in a furnished room so I never had to worry about buying furniture, until now!
I am planning to go to the nearby Ikea store around March 15th, and buy everything.
My questions:
1- Do you think one day is enough to look around and buy furniture for two bedrooms + living room + misc items? or would you recommend spending one day to check things out and then another to order?
2- Can I instruct Ikea to deliver on a specific date? because obviously I can't have the stuff delivered while the current tenant is in the apartment, and I need at least a bed to sleep on the first night there! :)
3- Does Ikea assemble the stuff at the destination? and if it as an extra cost is it expensive (200+?) I'd really appreciate your input regarding shipping and assembling costs. (I live about 35km away from the store).
