Since the season is coming on for grilling, do not buy a Koenig. We bought one less that 2 years ago. I have always had a Weber (10 years) with with no problems (couldn't bring it with me)! But the Koenig was on sale at the Fust. After the first year I noticed some rust on the top grill (vegetables, light meats). But I didn't do anything about it. We always have it covered with their reco'ed cover, clean completely before the season and after and wipe off with grill pad after use.
Well this season, getting ready, the top grill part is completely rusted out despite the care. I could not find a replaceable part at any store so I emailed them.
I know the warranty is complete after a year, but using their care instructions, the top should not have rusted out.
When I explained the situation, they wrote back that they 'expected parts will have to be replace in 2-3 years on their grills, and parts are not usually available from their warehouse'! And invited me to pay for the part if it was/when available.
Future grillmen beware! Just go for the Weber.
