Where can I rent/buy one of them small gardens from?

I don't know the exact name for them, but they are usually found grouped along near the train lines. I'm talking about those small gardens with a small shed or very small looking house on the individual plots.

Where would I be able to get one of these? Buy or rent. I live in an apartment and would love to grow my own garden.
