ETH postdoc contract

Hi all,

I'm new here. I've just received my employment contract for a postdoc at the ETH in Zurich. I'm a bit disappointed by the fact that the duration (dauer) is 1 year. I was expecting 2 years.

Is it common? Was I wrong to expect a 2-year contract?

I looked online but didn't find anything solid, until I stumbled into this forum. I'd really appreciate any feedback.
