I really hope it's my last question here about permits.
I have a bit of a special case. Maybe you guys have some experience? How to avoid getting visa D if i can freely travel in Schengen?
I am non-EU with permanent residency in the Czech Republic and married to my Swiss husband. It means that i can enter Switzerland freely and stay here up to certain amount of days. Now, because i live(d) in CZ, consulate in Vienna is handling the paperwork. So after marriage i have applied for the permit (in person in Vienna). Today husband received a paper for me to come pick my visa D (EINREISEERLAUBNIS)
Is there a way to go straight to local Gemeinde (i guess it will be Zurich kreisburo?), pay and wait for my permit to arrive...without visiting Vienna? I don't need a visa to enter the country (i am in fact already in Zurich as i write). I am so not looking forward to pay a plane ticket and maybe hotel for something i don't really need :(
(husband is terrified to call yet again. Swiss citizens are not brave, facing local bureaucracy so any advice is appreciated :D )
Thaaaanks!
