In case you (or the kids) need bike lights, OBI has a solution that is very flexible and extremely cheap (what is happening to CH?). They cost only CHF3.90 for the two lights
The come as a set - white=front, red=back as is standard. They have full on, fast flash, slow flash and off. They run on a CR 2032 battery. You will see from the photos that the cover is a sort of silicone that attaches to the solid part of the light housing.
Since the kids "lose" any of the more expensive lighting systems we have put on the bikes we decided to try this system that while you can mount it on the handle bars (front) and back frame (back), you can also fit them on the helmet. They take the helmet with them rather than leaving it on the bike so less risk of loss. With the helmets the red fits on the road side at the back and the front light is inverted at the front of the helmet (it fits and aims better this way).
