Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness in Zürich and Winterthur

A sunny hello everyone,

I wanted to introduce myself as a British Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, Mindfulness teacher and founder of beingwell. I specialise in providing individual Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for those of us who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, low self esteem or stress. I have a private therapy practice in Zürich and Winterthur and also work via Skype/phone. The other branch of beingwell offers Mindfulness based wellbeing courses and workshops for the public, businesses and schools.

So what is CBT?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is based on the fact that our thinking and behaviour play a significant role in the problems we encounter. This short term therapy adopts a collaborative approach and focus is very much on the here and now as we work together to find solutions to individual problems.

Who needs CBT?
  • If you're feeling low or depressed and/or you may have stopped doing the things you used to do and are isolating yourself
  • If you find yourself worrying all the time, anxious and not yourself
  • If your thoughts are self critical or negative or you find yourself caught up with self destructive behaviours
  • If you want to change some psychological patterns that you are aware are holding you back
  • If you are unable to control your stress levels and want some practical strategies to get back on track

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is a way of being awake to life, having more awareness of our present moment experience and learning to observe our thoughts with curiosity and less criticism. It is excellent for those struggling with anxious, stressed or low mood states. Finding your mind a bit too critical or overloaded? Then try an upcoming Mindfulness course or workshop, understand the way our mind works, the neuroscience of the brain, and and learn a new way of responding to that internal chatter we all have.
