I am planning to import spices from India for selling them here in Switzerland. Although I have managed to get information regarding labelling and composition guidelines there are few basic questions I have not managed to get an answer to!
Is there someone in this forum who perhaps has an indian shop or anybody related to importation of foodstuff who can help me with information such as
1) would I need permission from any authority to import new food products into Switzerland from outside the EU?
2) do I need any clearance or certification to import new products which has not been selling in the EU before
3) how easy or difficult is it to import new food range into the Swiss market?
My German skills are limited hence conversations with the authorities regarding my above queries has remained unclear.
