I strongly desire to study within Switzerland during the spring semester.
Accordingly, it seems natural to apply to multiple universities (with ETH Zürich and UZH taking preference). This strategy is sensible in the US due to the nature of their admissions process. Is the same true for Swiss universities?
What's the likelihood of acceptance assuming the candidate is a good fit?
Are there any indicators one might highlight to increase acceptance likelihood?
Is there anything that'd be wise to keep in mind as a foreigner during the application and preparation process? (Not the obvious necessities: Visa, living arrangements, insurance, etc... I'm referring to cultural/social values and standards that an American may be unfamiliar with).
Any additional advice concerning studying abroad in Switzerland is also very much appreciated! :D
