I've been living in Witikon in Zurich for three years and about to leave now. And if someone is looking for a flat, I recommend somewhere in Witikon. It's quite close to Zurich (still within zone 10), but you can also enjoy a bit countryside atmosphere, so if you have kids, quite excellent place.
Neighbourhood, quite friendly. My kid enjoys schooling here. One negative side is that it's much colder than the downtown in winter.
