I'm new to the forum. I've had a look at many posts but none really seem to answer my question, so I thought I'd have a go and post a new thread.
This is the tricky situation: My boyfriend, Irish, is moving to Switzerland to work near Lausanne. The company has already started the forms for relocation to canton Vaud, through an agent, and now, he just has to come to Switzerland and register in a "commune" in canton Vaud. He starts work mid-August, so he has to come and register now because the permit takes up to 4 weeks and he can't start work without it. I already live in Switzerland, canton AG, and he will stay with me, and look for an apartment in Lausanne, from here. So he doesnt have a place to stay in Lausanne yet, but he needs to register now.
The question is this: how could he register without an address in Lausanne? How did you register when you first got to Lausanne?
Do you have any out-of-the-box ideas?
BTW, rental market in Lausanne looks like a nightmare :msnshock:
