Hi

I'm not sure if this is the right section, I have some questions about Lausanne

1)Is it possible to live there without knowing french? I read from various sources that there are many international companies and so it is easy to find people who speak english, but what about daily things like shopping, etc?

2)From what I know, in Switzerland Italian is an official language; is it widely spoken in Lausanne and Vaud Canton in general? For the official comunication, can I use also Italian or just French?

3)From your experience, is it possibile to study at EPFL without knowing French? My course will be taught in English, but still I am quite worried for the other thing related to the univerity...
