What I hate about street conditions and traffic in Switzerland

Preamble: I like to live here, really. Unfortunately I love to drive my car, and I love to drive in the right way.

Now, I’m not able to accept
  • Lane owners - who’s stuck in the left lane if there are empty lanes to the right... the right lane is to overtake not a “I drive close to the limit so it’s my lane” thing
  • Obsessive-compulsive breakers - who uses the brake pedal in an obsessive-compulsive mood... Given the speed limits we have, 95% of the time you can simply remove your foot from the accelerator pedal (engine braking), and surprise, it works!!
  • Slow overtakes - those who try to overtake someone AT THE SAME SPEED +1km/h. You’re just blocking the traffic..
  • Cheap asphalt - on highways, asphalt is completely waterproof... in Austria and Italy (similar climate/road use) there’s water draining asphalt on all highways. It means to drive safe and clear also after trucks
  • Sunday’s drivers - acceleration and deceleration lanes (to enter/exit the highways) are designed TO ACCELLERATE and DECELLERATE, c’mon!
  • Straight drivers - if you are a good driver you don’t need to run as a pimp on straight roads and then slow down everybody on corners. Remember, it’s easy: you brake going into corners and accelerate out of them (and for this you don’t have to know “brake-apex-go”). Do not panic during the corners, they’ll not bite you (almost always)

Rant over by now..
