IT contract in Geneva, CH- questions..

Hi,

Long time lurker here, hoping this forum can answer some questions for me.

I recently got offered a contract in Geneva for 1 year, currently I live in Switzerland (Ticino) but have not worked.

my questions..

1. Are taxes deducted from the paycheck or do you need to pay at the end of the year?

2. Are deductions taken for the Swiss retirement plan?

3. Is the vacation for a contractor the same as it is for regular Swiss employees? Do you get bank holidays off?
