My husband and I combed the forum but couldn't find an answer to his problem.
He is Dutch and his Dutch driver's license expired while he was living in the US. His US license expired also (it was contingent on his student visa). He moved directly from the US to Switzerland. Now Switzerland is saying he has to renew his Dutch license in The Netherlands, but The Netherlands says that all Dutch citizens residing in EU countries or Switzerland must renew their license in the country of residence. So, we are at a seeming dead end. The Netherlands won't renew his license, but Switzerland won't either.
