Left my TomTom in my sold car.....

After just reading a post http://www.englishforum.ch/complaint...ings-taxi.html

I thought I would just share my experience of an unscrupulous car dealer in the UK.

In preparation for our move, we had to sell one of our cars, a Freelander. A "very nice man" saw the ad in Autotrader, turned up with cash, left a hefty deposit and said he would send one of his guys the next day with the rest of the cash, which he did. DH and I cleaned, hoovered and polished, emptied all the crap out and must have forgotten to look in the centre console. Just as I shut the front door I realised I had left my TomTom in the centre console and ran out the door, but they were gone. DH phoned him straight away and said he would check. Of course, he said no it wasn't there, but it was, definitely definitely was. I have a witness to that effect.

I am so tempted to let the Police know (or tell the dealer I have!), although I realise in the UK what's in it is in it, bad luck. The same applies to stuff left in houses (I did once have someone turn up to collect some tatty old tea towels which were left in a drawer of a house we bought!)

Lesson learned.

It would have been most useful if TomTom had a "find my TomTom" app, but alas they don't, which seems odd for specialists in satnav

We bought a new one
