hi all, new to this forum!
We're travelling thru to Italy in mid Jan '14. Landing in Zurich. Want to do a 7 day ski vacation either in a Swiss, Austrian or Italian resort first before travelling on to Florence for the sight-seeing part of the holiday.
Was initially thinking of Livigno, Italy, however we'd appreciate suggestions for other Swiss ski resorts. We're low intermediate skiers, only get to the snow in Europe every couple of years sadly!! We've mainly skied Austria previously & loved it.
The train route btw Zurich and Milan goes thru several smaller Swiss towns incl Lugano. Is it possible to reach Swiss resorts by rail from Zurich en route to Italy perhaps?
