I bought a Natel Data M package. It describes itself as "unlimited"
It has a max download of 7mbs until you reach 50gb. Then the speed is reduced.
But reduced to what? I asked before I bought it. The Swisscom shop said 1000kbs. Ok, I thought I could probably live with that.
So I have already exceeded the 50gb. It became incredibly slow so I checked the speed and it said 40kbs.
I rang up their "Service" centre and they said, yes that's right, that's what I will get. Its in the contract. So I said got out the contract and couldn't find mention of it. "No it isn't" I told him. he said "Oh yes it is". "Oh no it isn't" I retorted, clenching my teeth (repeat as many times as you think you can stand). I got bloody annoyed and told him I would cancel the contract. "You can't do that" he said. "Oh yes I can" "Oh no you can't" (etc etc). (Well I can because I bought a zero month contract).
I wrote a snooty letter to Customer Disservice who very polity told me I was wrong (the actual reduced speed is max 60kbs), sorry I was lied to, and I could always buy more data.
I suspect she found it very satisfying to send someone a really polite letter basically saying "now go away" (Using your best life of brian voice here please).
Although I have read on this forum some appalling stories of basically dishonesty when faced with a claim, I have never experienced this myself in all my years in witzerland. I must apologies to all those who had similar misfortunes. I was thinking "they aren't telling the whole story".
Anyway, I was narked and went back to the Swisscom shop and got them to write down and sign what the minimum speed is (this time they told me 500kbs).
I know there will be no joy at the end of it, but I await the response from the Disservice Center
