Hello Everyone,
My name is Gurpreet and i live in New Delhi, India. Anybody interested in Zurich cannot possibly miss this forum online. Lots of great people, lots of great views and so much to share and discuss. I hope this thread finds everyone in great health and wealth :)
Obviously, like most people i joined this forum to understand Switzerland better and gain more knowledge about living and working there.
I have been to some places in EU like Munich, Paris, Stuttgart, Tuebingen, Brussels but NOT Switzerland, YET!! Hoping to explore this year!
Before this post starts to bore you, let me get to the point. I really need your help and expert advice to be able to find a job in Swiss. I cannot say it enough that i have been spending a lot of time online on job applications but not with much success from Swiss.
So, I'm willing to start from ground level up and all over again with some fresh insights to correct my approach and find a job asap.
Here are some of my doubts (to start with):
1) What are some of the fundamentals to keep in mind when applying for jobs and increasing the chances of your job application to be noticed?
2) I don't speak German, how much does this contribute to my success in finding a job?
3) What are the websites, local newspapers one should refer to when looking for jobs?
I'm open to try new things but really need a job asap, at least hoping to get one. Your help and support is crucial. Thank you in advance for your time and ideas.
